POLAROIDS

This series explores the expressive power of portraiture through the visual characteristics of Polaroid photography. Combining individual images and superimposed compositions, the work captures fragments of gesture, form, and expression, creating a visual narrative that merges the ephemeral nature of instant photography with the complexity of a more elaborate composition.

Each piece reflects a process of construction that intensifies the presence of the subjects, amplifying their particularities through constructed imagery that transforms the immediate into something deeply immersive. The rawness of Polaroid photography meets the elegance of editorial portraiture, offering a vision that seeks to balance vulnerability and complexity.

FIESTAS DE LA CALLE SAN SEBASTIÁN – OLD SAN JUAN, 2024

This series captures the vibrant spirit of the Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián through 35mm black-and-white film. Focused on people and culture, the photographs highlight the energy, traditions, and collective joy that animate Old San Juan’s streets during one of Puerto Rico’s most iconic celebrations. Through candid moments and intimate portraits, the work preserves the essence of community, music, and identity that define this festival.

FILM PHOTOGRAPHY

In this section, I showcase my work in film photography, a medium that allows me to capture moments with a raw, authentic quality. Through portraits and documentary projects, I explore the stories between people, places, and emotions, creating a visual narrative that feels personal and real.

Film brings a unique depth and texture to each image, highlighting the subtleties that often go unnoticed. Whether capturing a fleeting expression or a quiet scene, my goal is to create timeless images that resonate with humanity, authenticity, and connection.
